Hey. I was just wondering what would be considered high for miles on a snowmobile. I have a neighbor selling a sled cheap and but i didnt want to buy it if the miles are going to be a problem.

it depends on the year and also where it was ridden....a 1 year old sled with 2000 massachusetts trail miles on it will be beat, but a 1 year old sled with 2000 maine/nh/vt miles will be a decent machine cuz all those trails are nice and groomed

the one im looking at is an arctic cat zrt 600. Its a 96 and its always ridden in the trails in VT cause that is where he keeps it. It runs mint but it has like 7,000 miles on it so that is the only thing that worries me.

Sickboyss is right, it all depends on the driver. My 800 is experienceing problems at 1200 miles cause I tear ass on it. If you find someone in their 40's selling one, its a safer bet but if its a kid or a younger guy its more likely to be beat on. I'd say tops around 5000 miles. Anywhere above that and I'd aim lower on price.

yeah he is in his 40's and he doesnt hammer on them too much...i might just wait and buy new next year....we only probably have a few weeks left of snow / ice and it would be a waste of money to buy right now.

Triples are bitchin. Unfortunately you have a triple six instead of a triple eight. The best of the best were the triple thundercats. 1000 cc's distributed across 3 cylanders. Mmmmm, power....

Tina has an 86 Artic Cat Jag for sale. Mint condition, garaged for most of, if not all of its life. Runs and rides mint. GREAT starter sled. Comes with a brand new one place snowmobile trailer. She would like to get 1500 or best offer for the whole setup.

Forgot to add that it only has like 3000 miles, and is still garaged now.

Depends if you like trail riding or open lake shootouts. 440's are bitchin for trails, they aren't as heavy like when I need to throw my 800 triple around.

Honestly, we rode 2 on it before. Its a old style 2 seater. It actually has that seatbelt type strap on the seat for the 2nd person to hold onto so it can either be a one or 2 seater. It still ripped pretty good with 2 of us on it though.
