I started and finished it! The only reason I stopped is because I didnt have a tool! Like a crack of thunder Ken ran to the maro’s trunk and picked out the appropriate tools to remedy the situation. If I had the tool to begin with, the filter housing never even would have been detached. That wasnt my doing!
Either way it got done, I'm just busting balls.

Here's what one guy did, I still don't like it, the car seem way too busy. From a practical stand point, visability in the coupe is already horrible, this is going to make it even worse.

I think for this guy it works because he's got the whole eleanor project going, which he's making great progress on. But I think it would look funny just slapped on a normal 2003 cobra. I saw a Mach 1 a few weeks ago with the slotted sun screen deal over the rear window, plus he had these window side scoops, that looked pretty good, hinting back to the early mach 1's cues, but for a SVT cobra, its previous cues started in 93. I think I'm reading into this way too much.. hahah

Oh, I only liked the scoop side window covers... The rest of it is pretty gay. I don't like the fogs nor the side exhaust....

I think the whole thing is gay, but the only reason the side scoops work is because he's trying to make an eleanor out of it.
And yes, talk about blind spots. With a cover over that window you'd be blind switching lanes.

ok..prolly wont do it. and its a abs plastic part that goes over the window.
no one likes that side exit exhaust though???? damn..
Mr Joshua
12-16-2003, 09:52 PM
i'd probably do it, if they made an OEM spec composite replacement cover..as well as interior moldings to blank out the window.. but dude, remember one thing, it's your car... you have to drive it, not everyone here...
i like the look, as well as the look of the newish elenore..

ok Jake i know ya wont take too much stock in this cause its coming from a beretta driver, I like that covering the windows, with some of those little circle things on the sidview mirros you can take car of the blindspots, and the GT500 is NASTY! cept the rims need to be bigger, there is too much fender gap. and i dont like that side exhaust, it jumps out too much from the car, but if ya did a roush type of side exhaust or something that goes with the body lines then it would look mint.
I like that Elenor thing but not the side exhaust.

old skool eleanor = sweet!!!
new skool eleanor = super gay!!!
window covers = super gay, no visabliity
that side exahust = gay
svo side exhaust = sweet
i personally like the "stock" look of a mustang coupe, the verts are horrible(sorry brad, i don't like verts that much, unless the light bar is there, then they look sweet)

whats the SVO side exhaust?

12-17-2003, 10:21 PM
heh, that plastic window cover makes that coupe looks like a vert with a drop hardtop
anyway, svo side exhaust:

you cant generalize everything spence, it depends on how you route it. mine could be side exit right now, all i would have to do is turn the tips sideways and add a few inches and i can show you the dyno sheets to prove that gained me a shitload.

you dont have a mustang, the small size pipe and bends required with the SVO side exit WILL take away about 50hp

im aware i dont (thank god), but you said side exit, not SVO and you can use a bigger pipe and eliminate a couple bends, it just wont be legal and it will be a little louder then normal.

you can get around that too. anything can be done, usually with minimal work
Mr Joshua
12-17-2003, 11:00 PM
i agree w/ spence on this one..
if you take a look at that SVO exhaust from underneith theres a giant U bend w/ another 90^ just to exit from the under side of the car.. not the most efficient flowing exhaust..

am aware of what the stock bend looks like, but like i said, there are ways around this, it just takes a little fabrication

~J oh i know, but if you really want to get around it like bry said, there is always a way. i was thinking about doing that exhaust on my car, but i dont think i will. just full 3" all the way back with my new motor when i build it.
Mr Joshua
12-17-2003, 11:39 PM
theres always a way, but space limitations are at a premium under a stang lowered 1"-2" so legally, swinnging a setup like that is difficult.. and strait w/ as little bends as possible is always ideal.. you'd need to go with an flat angled nascar style setup..
Dr. Gas makes such a setup i believe
