From Autoweek:
Monaro (read: GTO) gets 4wd

Holden, General Motors? Australian offshoot, will offer permanent four-wheel drive in the Monaro, the right-hand-drive equivalent of the reborn Pontiac GTO. The two-door revealed at the recent Sydney motor show also gets a host of exterior styling changes. The car goes on sale in Australia next June, but it is doubtful the four-wheel-drive system will make its way to the United States due to problems with fitting left-hand drive and the four-wheel-drive system into the car. Holden is already working on an engineering solution for left-hand-drive cars, which it hopes to adopt in time for the next-generation Monaro/Pontiac GTO due out in 2007.

As long as Lutz's heart keeps tickin, I don't see why they WON'T take the idea. They are already planning AWD versions of the CTS and STS.

Well, I'll be glad if GM would wake up and start importing HSV's, Vauxhalls and Opel speedsters.
