im not worried about that, im worried because its not a great mood setting scheme. its very depressing and not inviting to new people, esp this time of the season when people are already sad and shit. i personally dont care about the color i read, its more the tone it sets and its just bad for business

haha ... I really like the colors (duh I came up with them). I'm going to make a couple other schemes (orange and white, blue and yellow, white as can be ...) and you guys can all select your own schemes ...

My goal was to NOT be like all the other ones which are bland-assed whites and grays with maybe some blue or yellow thrown in here ... those are just bland and all too happy.

I really like deep blue-greens (which is what these are) which are very cool and calming. I might have a little too much gray ... might tone that down a bit by putting in some more yellow (for those of you that don't know colors on here are basically all just 24 bit Hex numbers ... so for instance the background is x263240). Anyhow I am still not sure about it ... might make it a bit more blue so we can escape the gray-ness ... hmm.

The thing I like best about this background is most of the smiles show up awesome ... :ak1: :wtf1: :wtf2: :O :bs1: :hurl: :cheers: :headbang1

Feral I think you got a good idea going. Just get rid of some of the boring gray's and replace them with brighter colors. Hopefully that will look good :smokin:

i think this forum style is perfect the way it is now but just one suggestion

i suggest someone fix the smilies so the background doest stay white. maybe outline the outer part of them?

and the post icons as well cause the dodge one is fucked up and the mitsubishi is worse

Eh, I don't mind it at all. Only other thing I might suggest is what was already said. (By me, someone else just posted my idea first since I said it out loud while he was posting :D) Do what LS6.com does and set up a few color schemes then let the user decide what they want to look at :cool2:

I've noticed that it does look too dark if you have your monitor's brightness waaayy down. I'll up the tint just a bit ... hopefully will help out ... and maybe go just a hint more blue. I dunno ... this one has grown on me. I also need to fix the smileys ... some of them look like ass.

Ok I put in a little more blue and green to brighten up the gray just a hint (you can barely notice side by side but overall the page is a little brighter now) and I brightened up the white text a bit more as well. Overall it should be easier on the eyes but I would recommend upping your contrast some if the colors seem too similar. Hope this is slightly better for people.

Now that winter is here I don't check the boards as much. It makes me realize I have a awesome vehical, that just is sitting all winter. Once spring gets here I will be checking the boards way more often.
