well i get bored over the winter and a free project has presented itself. My cousin greabbed a mint condition mid 90's ford festiva (yes the little ass hatches)
the prognosis we got a 13k motor from a mitsu lancer evo (4g63) what we need is a gst tranny with work and a lsd??? So the swap will most likely be done by february. The car is going on a big diet, anyt sheet metal that doesnt need to be there (i.e. rebars all door bars etc) will be gutted. 10 point chromoly cage welded up. :) looking for 1800-1900 lbs with cage. Heres the best part halltech fmu.
DSM boys whats the best way to make decent somewhat reliable power from this motor (yes i know the obvious but anyopther recomendations?
Also the paint scheme has been thrown around my family, my cousin wants to paint the base coat white then do the japanese rising sun flag scheme over the car as a joke to who ever pulls up next to it.
Oh ya the mini is getting a h22 ;)

HKS cams, 20G or an FP Green Intake/exhaust ... that's about it for 500FWHP potential.

Thats a phat idea .. one of my friends was thinking about doing that to a GEO .. I've heard that there were AWD applications of those cars .. not sure if it was a Mitsubishi or what .. but it was the size of a Fiesta .. who knows .. Sick idea dude
Whats this H22 talk all about?

H22 = Honda Prelude Motor 200 HP stock

the fiesta is the king of ugly bastard boxes on wheels thats kinda why were doing it.
Ken your talking about a suzuki product it shared the same body as the geo, but its awd and turbo to rare little cars that can be made extremely fun for cheap thats another motor that bolts driectly into the mini :)

why don't you just do a b16, it would still make a mini ridiculously fast but would be much lighter I assume.

because the b16 doesnt make anytorque JK no i actually need the weight in the front you lose alot of weight by swapping the a series stock block out.
what about a k20? that motor has a shitload more potential then a h22......
would an f20c s2k motor work to the rear wheels with a little fab?
either way i WANT ONE!

I can't imagine a vr6 fitting into a mini..maybe I dunno
Anything can be done with the right amount of $ tho.
Zach
that pic is like an a1 gti, look at the grill, that turbo vr6 must be fun to work on lol room

Check out www.forcedperformance.com for a turbo. They make em good.
In addition to what Feral said, you're of course going to need bigger injectors, fuel pressure regulator, a bigger fuel pump, and a good intercooler.

you cant fit a vr6 in a mini you silly bastard unless you pu tit in the back and make it rwd (yes its been done). My mini has a 1.275 turbo motor in it (soon to be vtec)
The polished vr6 is in my A2 and yes its turbo and its quite easy to work on if your not reatarded. Bren looks like a rabbit jesus shows you know nothing.
As far as the yamaha motor goes no thank you. However they do make a kit to put a hyabusa motor in :) but its rediculous money and frankly i dont want to be able to rev to 13k

Oh ya the mini is getting a h22 ;) Hahahahaha, do you do birthday parties? Kidding aside, if you want to buy my H227-B9er motor all you have to do is ask.

Looks like a rabbit, how the hell can you tell? my friend has an a1 with that grill and one headlight and plenty of a2's my friends had with the single head conversion.....tell me what makes it definitely a rabbit from that weak picture? oh i forgot we all dont work on skylines daily and build 200 mph 4 door sedans.

well considering that pic is of my silver car i thinks id know its an A2
the rabbit grill is not a H4 light first of all, secondly the radiator support would show to be a non weld in item (a1= weld in). Lets move on the rain tray arear, COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THAN A rabbit, the strut towers and strut caps (clearly vr6 items) dont fit in a rabbit. Top of the fenders about an inch wide, as rabbit fenders have 3 inches of metal on the top and are fastened to the superstructure differently. Ask and you shall recieve rice boy.
As far as the skyline comment goes we have 2 r32's sitting here. black and white (going for a spy vs. spy thing) just hks bolt ons on the black one and new turbos dynoed 635 whp.
