So, who thinks it would be cool to put the stealth's engine and drive-train in matt's S-10? I figure a twin turbo AWD S-10 would freakin rule. Be like a syclone, except more badass.

It would probably be easier to find a totalled Syclone or Typhoon and get the motor/drivetrain out of that.
I've been kicking around the idea of making a 4g63-powered Mitsu Mighty Max, as it's not that hard a swap. A 4wd beater truck with 400HP on tap is just strangely appealing to me.

So? If you can wedge a BB in there, the transverse mount engine should work... with a LOT of modifications.

I'm not afraid of putting the motor in sideways too. All it will take is some custom fabbing and building some strut towers and project VRS-10 TT/GT will be off and running. That and the OK from the other guy who owns part of the stealth.....

J .. stick to one fucking car man
Honestly .. the best idea would be to utitlize the drivetrain off a Syclone or Typhoon .. do you have any idea the amount of fabrication just to mount the motor properly? Its been done before .. so take whats been crafted from THE FACTORY it'll save you a WHOLE lot of money .. and find some way to adapt the Stealth motor .. or do it with a 350 TT and forget about mounting it sideways :smokin:
worse comes to worse .. get a fiberglass wide body shell of an S-10 and bolt it to the stealth frame :worship2:

swap over a starion/conquest 2.6l.. its a direct swap.. the mighty max has a non turbo 2.6.. find a junk quest, build up the 2.6 in it then swap it in there and bam.. 300hp mighty max.. noone would ever suspect that

Yeah, but that's only 300hp. I could easily get a reliable 400 out of a 2.0L 4g63 by replicating the setup in my car right now. Besides, the 2.0L is far more bulletproof than the 2.6L, and MUCH easier to find stuff for... Not to mention, the 2.0L is also pretty much a direct swap...

Word on the street is the 4g63 in RWD form it will bolt to a mazda turbo II t5-spd, which is capable of putting 500 horse to the floor with no problems. And it's not a direct swap because you have to modify the intake manifold to mount the throttle body on the opposite end of it.
Also, swap a twin turbo small block into a 4x4 s-series, and use the bravada/astrovan transfer case. AWD mad powaz.

Well, whipped out my trusty old tape measure the other day. Total width on the Stealth, 70". Total width on the S-10, 60". :( Oh well, time to find a new donor car. Hmm, Paul's camaro is 70" wide, and I have my '87 bird at home that is already cut up and just begging for a drivetrain...... :cool2: Kurtis.....?:D
