Ouch!!

I got into a pretty decent wreck racing today. I started 6th, and as I worked my way through everyone, I did well until I charged for 2nd. The girl that was running 2nd was breaking loose, so when she did it just enough for me to get by, I dove under her on the backstretch. Her back tire went off the track and into the dirt, so she pulled a hard left to get back onto it. When she did it sent her shooting across the track, nailing me with the front corner of her car, in the passenger side when she was running full throttle ( at hudson speedway) at 60 or 70.
She spun me around and I was facing into the other oncoming cars, and one of the other girls clipped me and spun me back the other way. Needless to say I have some nice bruises from my 5pt harness and from what I can tell right now, minor whiplash.
Oh, but I still came back to take 3rd after they re-started me in the back. :blush: Thought Id post up some pics:

There was 7 today, and we were running 12 laps during this race. It varies depending on the field

I wish I could afford a car to race.. actually I'm a pussy.. but I've always wanted to try it... I guess I'll stick to going to gokart tracks! haha

It wont take too much to fix...Ill just have to say goodbye to my number and entire door. We're going to cut the whole door off, replace that with sheet metal and prob. paint it black. Then just bang out the remaining few dents. Cant get too picky with only 2 races left to the season.

i know bumpin or rubbin or whatever is racing...im not complaining about that...it was an accident. noone was at fault since she broke something that made her car shoot across the track like it did. Rubbin and bumpin is intentional.

yes I know Darlene...she won the champ a few years ago. prob 2 years before I started. She runs with the guys division now and really knows how to tear shit up and not let them intimidate her. Shes nice even though I dont know her TOO well.

my car is all beat too, i keep having problems with keeping the nose and fenders on it. :worry: gotta 3rd in the consi last weekend though!
