I really don't want this to be a flame war, I just wanted to post this since the 3000GT or Stealth doesn't seem to crack into the 10s too often... :)
To the best of my knowledge, this car has stock internals, stock tranny, street tires, bad 2nd gear syncro, ignition issues, at about 30PSI (less than what the car dynoed at), FULL weight including A/C, etc.
This car dynoed 648AWHP or something like that. The car was driven by Matt Monet (www.dynamicracing.com). Yes, the duct tape is straight up ghey.

There's no post about it in 3 or 4 searches I made. What's the link to the thread?

Found it and it was just a mention so it's hardly a repost. The trap was also incorrect.

Thanks though :)

Yeah I already posted this, I am impressed with this car.
It will be faster when he learns how to launch it.
I'm sure after the run he got out and said
"y0y0 I had bad 2nd gear syncro, ignition issues, mah clutch mah clutch" like every 3kgt owner on the planet.
Now, call me when your platform breaks into the 8s.

By the way, that is just me reaching for reasons why I shouldn't like the car. But in reality it's very impressive, especially for the poor 60ft times [for that kind of power]. It looks very very nice.
What are thiose DR1000's comprised of? You guys use rediculous names for hybrids.

DR1000s are T3/T4s with a .48 A/R and I can't remember the compressor trim. Supports 1000HP, hence DR1000s. I've got DR650s, the very little brother of those bad boys.
The runs were without juice and were at a lot less than 648AWHP ... probably more like 575. The most impressive part of the whole thing is stock shortblock. That's stock pistons, stock rods, stock crank ... holding up to 800+ at the crank for 30+ dyno runs and then some track runs. Not too many cars can claim that on stock internals. I guess not that many cars can run 10.70's on street radials as well (the car didn't have DR's even).
The car needs an ignition amplifier and bigger injectors ... and a tranny. Given that it can probably crank out 700+ at the wheels and should pretty easily set more records. I mean fuck it holds the record as it sits.
Oh and full street trim means full interior ... completely stock actually with stock seats and everything ... 4000lbs w/driver. Looks like a VR4 you could go buy at mitsubishi, just a little different under the hood.

You're referring to one of the best drivers in the platform who needs to learn to launch? Wow.
I presented the truth with what he said which was bad syncros forcing him to shift 2nd at 5,000 instead of the 8,300RPM redline and ignition problems. Other than that, it's the car's 1st time to the track at lower boost than dynoed. That's impressive to me not to mention it's full weight and stock internals/tranny/tires.
It doesn't matter, you will find anything to bash this platform to satisfy your hatred needs.

So you are saying a car that traps 135 is ok to cut weaksauce 1.65 60 footers?
Abd if you read the next post I said I was reaching. You know, like when Matt Monet gives you the reach around.

I'd say about 99% of 3S owners have their heads solidly up Matt Monet's ass to some degree. Fuck even I do to a certain extent. Aside from being an awesome driver/tuner, he's hands down the best businessman I've ever dealt with. Super professional and will bend over backwards to make things work for you ... he's done it for me ... he's done it for everyone that orders from him.
That aside, this car doesn't need excuses it holds the record. It has a high probability of making more records but for now it holds it as is, end of story. I am very glad to see a full weight, full interior car with the record because its just too easy to gut a car and go ... but this is a personal preference.

Up his ass? Na, I just think it's very impressive regardless of the person, car, or platform.
There are some reasons that actually held it back so I am just stating this because I assume/expect to see it run faster.
That's all. You guys love drama like TNT around here. :)

Impressive times, impressive power. Good thing Matt Monet keeps the records going, cuz most owners have a hard time breaking 12's. Either way, hope someday to break his records, but it will most likely be with a lil of his help, in terms of parts... Maybe not, who knows.

He is selling like some of the biggest turbos that are in actual kits. The new TD05 turbos (14B/16G) are great but require a ton of fabrication that some owners are hesistant to do. I was in the same boat before I went 15Gs. I could have went with other turbos but the knowledge base sucked at the time which left me with only TD04 turbos so I went the route I am currently at.
I can't see him NOT having a hand someway in any car that runs into the 10s.

He's already been involved with the stealth, so I guess if it ever makes it into the 10's and beyond, that would be true...

My VR4 is about 75% Dynamic Racing powered (DR650's) ... so my 11.8's are about 75% because of Matt Monet. Add in the fact that I learned my launching style by reading his posts on how he does it ... maybe some of my driving is because of him.
