Me too, although I am curious to see if a cobra will feel as stable on the highway at 180mph as a Z06 does...

a stock 03 cobra wont do 180, although its been proven by lifting the governer it will do 178MPH I think the only mods were tires and it was lowered. I believe there is a guy on the svt board with motor work pulling over 200MPH.

well, anything i've owned, i could slow down from top speed and still make the exit, AND THATS NOT BECAUSE ITS SLOW, with the s10 i've hit 160 about 3/8 of a mile into the 1 mile stretch.

I know there was no way my stang would have made that corner. Christ I could barely even stop at the end of the 1/4. Although a have gone about 155mph haeding EB on 290 after rt140

Ken and I were both in the first 03 cobra to hit MA. A guy who works with my dad took out out in it, ken was in the back, I was in the front. This guy got out on a 4 lane highway, one lanes on each side was blocked off by cones, he cut between the cones and from 20MPH gunned it all the way to the limiter which was just about 160, this took under 20 seconds. Ken and I were both like, "AHHHHHHHHHHH." Then another time Ken and I were chasing a hot girl in a camaro and we ended up going 160, we were doing 160 around one of those long rolling turns and the car felt pretty hooked up, my car was lowered and had catback, those were the only two mods at the time.

160mph in less then 20 seconds in a stock 390hp cobra? :hmm:

since the subject has turned into SVT cobra vs. Z06 i found something interesting.

SVT cobra convertible vs. Chevy Corvette convertible(not a Z06)

Cobra
0-60 in 4.86
1/4 mile timing is 13.12 @ 109.58


corvette
0-60 in 4.72
1/4 mile timing is 13.02 @ 109.59

very close timing between a stock SVT cobra 03 model and a regular corvette convertible 03 model and the corvette seems to get the upper hand and this isnt even a Z06 :thumbsup:
