Don't want this moved as if the viper driver is out there I want this in a high traffic forum
I feel as if I fall into the gray area of the street racing. I will not meet up with people specifically to race, but if I see a sweet car willing to run on the highway, I’ll slow down to 20-40 and run to 60-100. Anyway to make a long story short I ran into a 93 viper today, took a little safe lane switching but I pulled up along side of him and we went from a 20 roll to about 80 on a road with a 55MPH speed limit. I put about 4-5 cars on him; he caught up and paced me again. This time he looks over and floors it, so do I. I start pulling on him a little so I shut it down and he keeps going, only I think he was trying to get the upcoming exit because he jacked the breaks and locked them up hard (he’s in the left lane I’m in the right), do 93rt-10’s have abs? In any event I was forced to check my mirror, noticed no one was in the left lane and jerked the wheel hard to avoid the vipers swerving smoking out of control stop. I got by him clean, but looking back at what happened all I could see was the RT-10 heading for the grass/trees near the exit almost too much smoke to see. My next exit was about 2 miles up the road, so I booted it and turned around to go see if he was ok. I got back to where the incident took place and saw one 335-size skid mark go from the left lane all the way to the right strait into the exits curb, but the viper was gone. I’m assuming he nursed it back to his garage. If you’re reading this viper guy, we were both wrong for racing around on the street, I'll even take the full brunt of it seeing I was the one who caught up to you in the first place, hope you and your car are ok.
