NED next week

After about a 2 year hiatus I'm planning on heading to the track. I just gotta bolt up my header and exhaust.

I'm thinking Wednesday 7/21 [first choice]. If not Wednesday than Friday.

Anyone heading up? Anyone wanna meet up in MA then head up together? I live in Wakefield, which is right by the intersection of I93 and I95. I'm planning on meeting some Neon guys at the McDonald's at exit 7.

Any takers? Anyone want to race a 16 second Neon :lol:

How is NED compared to like ETown? I want to go to another track to see if my times change but it's a hike for me to go if I will only get 3-4 runs. I rarely get more than 4 on Street Nights (6-10)

go on a saturday for test and tune i usually get like 10 passes.....

your not going to find another track with the air you get at NED around this part of the country, other than E-town which is like right around sea level

NED is only 90' above sea level.

10? Damn. The MOST I ever got was like 6 on a Saturday and that's because it was early in the season.

I always wondered if my shit launches was the track conditions. LVD = shit prep and shit compound. I have NO idea what elevation it is though.

I might make a trip up with Feral if his POS is ever fixed. I think it's 2-3 hours for me tho :(

street night track prep varies alot, can be stellar, but sometimes sucks....

sat track prep is always awesome.

normally i hover around the 1.69 area for short times on street nights and 1.65 on saturdays.....

but recently i tweaked my rear shock adjustment a little, and was averaging like 1.66-1.67 on street night, im excited to see what it will do on a saturday

Saturday and Sunday (24th and 25th) are both points days at NED for bracket racers. Everyone is welcome but they do follow regular race day procedures. Two time trials then eliminations... Of course if you win you receive money and a trophy, and the track is well prepped.

I liked E town alot better. However, I've only raced at Etown at national events, so of course the track prep was going to be better [plus the pro guys put down alot of rubber!]

I've raced at 4 tracks and I like NED second best [I've been to Etown, NED, LVD, and VA motorsports park].
