What's everyones opinion on neons for under your car. I wanna hear some thoughts

I voted cool, because thay are pretty fast and they are the american answer to the sport compact. Dodge listend to what the kids wanted, and deliverd. Thats good buisness.

voted gay..draw too much attention...and some people put them on the wrong cars ..last thing i want to see driving down the street is a 90 maxima stock and the kid had a few extra dollars so he pulled into auto zone and bought some super gay neon lights to draw more attention that his car sucks:thumbsup:

there's some occasional occurances where neons are done really nice and look good on the car, but most of the time i see neons they are on flaming cars like civics or maximas or some shit.....

if they are done right, then that can look good, but like everyone else has said, if you go the rice boy way and just slap some rancom color on there there doesnt go with the color of the car, then its ghey. But if ya do it right then it can look damn good. I voted coo

I say dont.......people are going to notice your engine bay the most when you have the hood open and i think it would take away from it.........keep it clean.......

At the time, it was cliche' to the mullet culture. Along with pinstripe stickers, racing stripes, those strips of chrome you can form to any corner of the car, car phones, and curb feelers.

Custom choppers look cool with neons. Crotch rockets and cars look gay. I've seen some nice old (30's) rods with neons that kinda look okay, but its rare.

i dont know tho jay, we put some neons (two small 6 inch tubes) on my buddys tl1000r, in the front wheel well(fender, whatever, i dont knwo what you call it on a bike, it was above the wheel) and under the rear seat (again above the wheel)

it looked mint actually and i really liked it.


then the insulation wasnt thick enouigh on the wires and he shocked the shit out of himslef.

Eh, still gay. I just don't like the way they look. Crotch rockets are nice enough... they don't need lights.
