out of everything done to my car the only thing i didn't do was the rear end gears, not about to fuck that up. maybe if i have someone that knows what they are doing show me next time then i will give it a shot. but anyway, there really isn't much i wouldnt tackle, i would even try a supercharger install or something like it if i had well done instructions to guide me.

think i love working on the scirocco better than being under a stang .. for a chevy guy ive been under wayyyy too many stangs :sleep: no room in those bitchs:eh:

I have to admit. I've been pretty much a GM fan for most of my life. I have grown a LOT less biased, but the Cobra is ONE HELL of a car. Ford definately got this one right and I am interested to see if they will outdo themselves yet again. *COUGH* GT Engine *COUGH*. I think it should go in the Lightning.

I did all of my own work. Including engine machine work-assembly.Rebuilt the trans+rear.The whole car. Everything except the paint.

everything on my stang has proudly been funded and done by me, aONLY thing i didnt do was lay the paint/clear on the dfront fenders, (and rest of the car when we get that far) but im doing all bodywork ect.

I have done and can do ANYTHING myself to my car.god it fucking feels good saying that..the only thing i couldnt do in the past was body work and paint but for the last two years thats whats been paying the bills.

32 Valves, 4 cams, and a blower to make 40 more horse than a stock LS1...

They are nice cars, in fact i plan on owning one when i get my next car, that point of the story is, stock for stock they arent invincible.

With the help of my twin brother, I restored/restomodded my Cobra Mustang. The only thing that we did not do, was the paint/bodywork. However, I stripped the entire car and reassembled it too, after the painting was done. This included reinstalling the doors, fenders, hood, hatch, bumpers, molding, glass, etc...etc...etc... There's nothing more satisfying than doing it yourself.

you forgot still smaller engine 281 VS 350

If you wonna be that picky... the LS1 is a 346. It has a 3.9 inch bore with a longer stroke compared to the 350's 4 inch bore. Being a well balanced factory stroker with great heads makes the LS1 have the power that it does. But you are absolutely right. It is MORE THAN A LITER bigger and therefore absolutely does not compare in any way with the cobra 4.6 besides that they are both V8's. In the pre '03 years (non supercharged) the quad cam cobras still make very close to LS1 power.
