Why won't this fucking bolt come off... ARGH!!
gas tanks leaking on the truck(2wd 84 C-10 350)
so i decided to take the shield off and see wtf was up
1 bolt left, all it does is spin, and these is no way to get anything on it....
30 mins on my back on cold concrete and i want it to die slowly..
i'v contemplated flickin a lit match on it... :bash:

lol, poor amateur, what is it holding? the strap or the sheild? if its the sheild, how many other bolts does it have? reason i ask, tin snips, and either get anther or deal with one less bolt. maybe some JB weld. if the leak is on another side of the tank and you dont have to worry about it exploding, use a dremel and cut the bolt off

damn nut was welded on the back side of the bracket and broke free, which is covered by the gastank, the head of the bolt is rececced into the shield.. and theres no room for a hacksaw...
i need to spend some $ on a garage heater and some air tools..
impact, cutoff, chissel, etc..
and on top of that the leak is underneith the brackets.. :hmm:

i would say heat it up but  that wouldnt be a good idea. umm did you try yanking it off or just ripping it right off other than that i have no clue i had a leak on my filler pipe to my 300zx and i put "seal all - gas and oil sealer " and it worked wonders never had a problem after that.

cut the strap with a pair of tin snips, then pull the tank out of the way and do what you have to.
