so last night i was going from newport to worcester. RI24, goes to 195, to MA24. well right before the 195 split a modded WRX comes on and if flying, so i was stayin with him at about 85-90, then we went onto 195 and he went dodging around a few people for the 1/2 mile before you have to take the MA24 onramp and i followed. we took the on ramp at about 60 but someone was in front of him, so we had to slow down, we were down around 45-50 and he went around the person and i followed, we got onto the straight away and i punched it, now doing about 70-80, he was about 3-4 cars ahead and i started pulling, then :hurl: i hit the fuckin speed limiter. i was PISSED, the kid would have gotten owned on the highway by a fuckin dakota, but NOPE, the guy who programmed my PCM BLOWS :bash: he was supposed to push the limiter to 135, he only put it at 125. i probably wouldnt have passed him at that speed, but i would have caught his ass end at least. i did learn that i need to upgrade my suspension, its not really that stable going around a turn a 121-124mph lol (needled out but didnt hit the limiter yet). at the very least i need some downforce, it was just too unstable at that speed, it stuck to the road, but kinda swayed a little. in the end, i left my friends house in the middle of newport at 11:09, walked 3 blocks to where i had to park my truck and got to dunks in worcester at 12:27 LOL. :thumbsup:

All I did on my Camaro was to unplug the speedo/odo and the limiter problem was gone... Of course you have no idea how fast you are going but as long as you get there first it doesn't really matter anyway, right?

auto+ awd= a LOT of drivetrain loss. my truck is pretty decent on the highway. also, if you don't know how to brake boost, lag is a bitch. and i dont remember the race as it was a long ass time ago, but id assume it was exhaust and blow off valve at least. maybe at best, who knows. no matter what, my truck was being driven then, which is more then i can say for hte cobra :owned:

:sleep: using your brakes takes a little bit of life off your pads and rotors, using a 500 shot will blow your motor. very different. you were wrong, deal.

Or, it warps your rotors, which is a definate possibility. Rolling at 60mph on the highway, with your feet on both pedals, is going to lead to a VERY VERY short life for your brakes. Unless you have alien technology porsche ceramic brakes

proportion = blown

it doesnt do shit, you hold the brakes 1/4 down enough to build some boost on the side, you are hardly on the brakes.

Getting off an offramp is 10000000x worse on the brakes, lets avoid offramps from now on.

thats how i felt when i was reeling in a 05 gto at 130 then i started to detonate...again. god i need a retune lol. i dunno, wrx's can be suprisingly quick from a roll sometimes.

yep, they can, but this one wasnt haha. if my truck was reeling him in, then he either couldnt drive, or just had a cat back and BOV. my truck only traps like 100 or so and has 3.92 gears out back, its great out of the hole, but not a highway monster.

its a 99, everything is electronic. theres i belive 3 sensors that control the speedo, two in the tranny and one in the rear axle. the only way ive heard of turning it off is to get a mopar PCM (which only gives you about 1/2 the power this stupid expensive PCM does) or to turn the key to the start position as you hit the limiter and it will shut off the gauge cluster. i have never tried this, nor do i plan to. 125 is a speed that shouldnt be reached in that truck often, and turning off the limiter will more then likely make me want to reach the real limit of the truck, which would be right about when the ass end lifts up and slides out of control. the new wing should actually prevent this, but i havent really driven it since the install to test it.
