I need wheelie bars...
For those who don't know..
The bike went to the track last night..
R/t...horrible...1.137
60'...horrible...1.853
330...4.7
1/8...6.982
MPH...108.10
1000...8.9
1/4...10.664
MPH...131.59
The bike just keeps lifting.. I'm about 1/2 throttle in first and same all through second.. If i get a better r/t and 60' as well as practice keeping the front down or add wheelie bars.. I'm sure i'll see 10.00 or even 9.9? I'm not even utilizing all the bikes power.. I raced a busa last night and lost by about a car and a half.. He says he was full throttle from start to finish.. I was feathering the throttle all through first and second gear.. I know with the right suspention set up, i can get him..

wow the track really blew some smoke up your ass lol
im not positive about this, but if i remember correctly thats not a bad 60' time for a bike, especially one not setup for drag racing.....
maybe an extended swing arm would be in order before wheelie bars though

hey mentl, i have checked out some of the bikes that were running last year and talking to a few guys they showed me straps they had on their front end.they were compressing the front shocks. not sure what it does but i know there werent lifting nearly as bad as some fo the bikes with out the straps.i also think they might be really good track riders. next time you up there or if you belong to any motorcycle board ask around, it might help you out.

Yeah those straps are for launchin, keeping the front wheel down. They make special ones just for that. I wouldn't use a regular tie down for that. If you lower the bike with the straps and drop the rear is will stay down alot. Cut some killer 60's!

id like to see almost any stock tranny handle that much power without a problem. its not the engineering, its the fact that its hard to get a tranny that will handle that power for that car. its not an easy SBC tranny that everyone works on.

strap the front, drop the back, and run a wheelie bar...extend swing arm will suck unless you are just racin at the track...unless you dont mind buyin all new brakelines, chain, and gettin the shock revalved and shit...

Mine's stronger than yours is...and everything in it is still technically "stock".
And also, I have a cam and fuel injection, so I win anyways Jesse :D.
Lemme know when you wanna beef yours up...I've got the special tools.
