I have a set of 18x9 ProN1s, gunmetal. Does anybody do polishing, just the lips?

Those really won't polish up too much ... unless chris (tunedport) knows something I don't. In any case if you ever want anything polished he is insanely good at it and ridiculously cheap ... so I'm hoping he pipes in here ... I'm going to have him polish everything I can. The kid rules.

I'd be able to tell if I knew what they looked like. Kurtis are those the same rims you used to have? Can you put up a pic cause I cant find any pics of your car right now

O and thanks

Yes ... same exact rims. Gunmetal with yellow letters ... seems like you can't polish them but what do I know?? :eh:

The paint would have to be stripped first so the bare aluminum is exposed

Why would you not be able to polish it? Any aluminum can be polished. Powdercoat is a bit of a PITA to strip off though.

Powdercoating is pretty strong stuff, but i'm sure it can be done.

Yea last time I needed to remove it I just paint strippered it (took it right off) then sandblasted it to get the rest. for just the outside edge of a rim it would probably probably be easiest to just go at it with a sanding disk.

i can sandblast the wheels to get the powder coat off for chris to polish em. we can work out some sort of deal...

sandblasting will fuck those rims up royally.. i tried to do it with my rims, you'd have to do a shit load of sanding to get those little pits out

Yes, I sandblasted a powdercoated piece of aluminum once and it got fucked up royaly. Paint stripper would probably be your best bet, then hand sand perhaps.
