well technically i'v never been to the track, however.. in a measured 1/4 street race, i bested an 87 GT w/ a cam, gears, intake, heads, mid lengths, and misc other bolt ons, that G-Teched earlier in the night at 14.1/14.0, by 2-3 car lengths...:eh:

My best so far is a 11.023 @ 124mph, but if the weather ever gets nice again I am shooting for around a 10.8

With my new suspension setup I should be able to do that pretty easy. Not bad for a 4700# vehical

Farting out at the top end of the track... it wasn't playing nice. i went for the last blast in the car, with Kurtis. The car was having some serious issues running. it seemed to run MUCH better once we tuned the fuel and upped the boost. Doesn't konk out as much now. Of course, it hasn't moved under it's own power in... oh, i dunno... about a year and a half.

Gonna drop the gear a little in the new rear and go hunting for 11's on the current combo (I know they're in there somewhere :blush: )before I drop the new motor in, then, we'll see, I know what I'm looking for, let's see if I can run it before the tech nazi's put an end to my tuning.... :D

It was bone stock running 9psi with plugs that had 120k miles on them and it took about .5 seconds to do 1->2 and 2->3 as the synchros were long gone by then ... oh and the clutch was slipping ... lol. The only reason why it was that fast was I was able to hit a 1.8 60' against all odds and we had taken out about 300lbs of shit.

No, I ran that last October at the import day at 26psi. Not the same day that Bill ran 124mph. I turned the boost down after that since I got a bit of knock. What I should have done was just reduce the timing a bit.

Since then, I have been having boost control issues. Tons of spike to 30psi if I try to turn the boost to anything more than 23psi. And they only got worse with my tubular O2 housing and the 272 exhaust cam. I'm going to swap out the O2 housing before Saturday.

I did run 116.5mph two weeks ago (many times, actually), though, at just 22psi and 41lb/min of airflow. That was the first time I raced since the import day last October. When I ran 118, I got 44.1lb/min of airflow at 26psi, and it held 26psi to redline. The power and airflow numbers make sense.

But yeah, I do want to back it up. If it weren't for all that snow stuff we had over the winter, I'm sure I would have by now. ;)

Yea, my motor was pushing way too much oil into the bearings of the turbo, so we put a restrictor in the line and that solved a lot of problems for us, now I just need to put a new clutch and tranny in there and its ready for action.

I didn't care about reaction time, It was just to nice of a day not to give it a shot. It was worth it that great air gave me a new personal best.

I don't think we will get air like this again till the fall, and I finally got the 10 second run over with.

Now I can have fun all summer.

Not many other members can say they have a 10 second daily driven vehical, let alone a 4700 lbs one.

not true. stock tops speed is 154 mph off the showroom floor. it does the 1/4 in 12.9 on street tires having to feather the shit out of the clutch. on slicks it should be able to do a mid-low 12. not clue what it trapped.
