Does anybody know if any street driven 9 second imports exist in the NH/MA area? Or any 9 second Import in NH/MA for that matter.

Alright, there are some crazy puertorican crews that have insane rotary powered starlets and 510's. But now lets talk street cars.

I know there are a ton of domestic cars in the 9's driving around.

Anyone know for sure about the imports?
It's a legitimate question, no need to jump down my throat about it.

Aside from the pure track cars (those starlets for instance) ... I have never heard of any 9 second street imports around here ... hell a 10 second street import is rare around here.

The puerto ricans across form me have an 8 and a 9 second car in their bay. Neither of them see the street with any regularity though. Although, they do occasionally drive the 10 second wagon they have..... :cool2:
I remember the day they were tuning the 8 second car, sounded like the world was about to end....

there is a civic near me that upset a 9 second mustang but the civic is a roll cage motor and slicks and not street legal by any means.

Gotta love those guys. "10 second" Supra's. I've met a few guys back in the day that thought because they had 650whp they had a 10 second car. They forgot they needed to "Drive" it to get any kind of 10 second slip.

On the other hand, there are a few guys running 11.10's - 11.20's on stock twins which VERY impressive. Not around here though.

Hi Alex,

I hope this isn't going to turn into the same fiasco the last time I posted about Bruce's car...

Not a street driven car by any stretch, but he did run several 9’s at NED without N20. He is doing this on street tires, so he can compete in street class at our local events:

It is at Buschur Racing now for some “finishing touches”, which include N20. It is expected to be in the 8’s with the laughing gas :).

I split the Forte and Buschur racing stuff into their own threads in the vendors forum.

Buschur - http://www.newengland-motorsports.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2827

Forte - http://www.newengland-motorsports.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2828

Enjoy :)

After talking with Kurtis, I am blown away as to how many fast cars are in your area. Albany, NY or even the entire capital district area usually just yeilds 12-13 second cars with an amazing amount of rice.

Fastest import in my area is a T-78 Supra owned by a friend that lives down the street. Other than that, I rarely lose and that's sad.

I don't suppose you are talking about Hughie?

You need to head over to LI, there are a bunch of Supra owners over there running some pretty impressive times.

Yeah I am totally surround by 10,11, and 12 second domestics ... its sooo not fair. I'm pretty much the fastest active street racer as far as imports go though ... but for domestics it sucks. Haven't won a street race in a couple years now and the last one I won was against a VR4 ... lol.

Jon William's 95 T-78. Built it himself. Very impressive and tasteful. I haven't ridden in it yet but we played from a roll :(
