AH well shit happends. Only learn from that point on. The 99's where probably set back in hp from the factory for that reason. Lower end probably couldn't take the extra 20+hp to make 300hp, let alone 600 haha.

A mustang on the back of a towtruck? Surprising!
A supra would hold 600 horsepower on the stock bottom end.....
:eh: :ninja: :ninja: :ninja: :ninja:

I think its kind of funny though......."oh look it blew up...hahhah",but did you see how easily it walked away from that Z06,and i wonder how many other cars that thing destroyed before it grenaded.you people have to realize that fast cars break.its just a matter of time.
don your logic with videos is about as biased as a KKK member.

No don, fast cars do not break. Improperly modified fast cars break. Stop telling yourself that when you grenade your motors they are supposed to do that because they go fast, and not because they were put together the wrong way.

it must be a domestic way of thinking, since everything tuned that is fast has a certain mileage/race limit before having to be rebuilt again, so boom = street credit cuz you must be fast to blow something up y0z!

I'm not proud of my transmission. I'm proud of the fact that my car runs, gets me to work, the mall, wherever i want, can be launched like whoa, can put me back in the seat, and has 140k miles on the stock motor pushing 20 psi reliably. While on the other hand, your car goes around corners, and explodes motors.
Whatever floats your boat.

cmon...thats the best you could come up with.....and for the record the motor that i popped was a built 306...balanced and blueprinted forged bottom end, that spent its life getting the shit kicked out of it on a roadcourse, and it didnt blow up because it was put together wrong...it blew up because of driver error....no rev limiter and missing a gear = boom.if that didnt happen the motor would stil be alive today getting pounded on.
not having a rev limiter = not built well in my eyes,
thats like not have a gas gauge and getting mad when you run out?

well, don't forget the old addage, bren.. "real cars don't have rev limiters"
cuz safety features aren't cool when you're drivin a pushrod-carb monstah. :eh:

hrmm, hating on a 306 for reving over 10k before cracking the crank in two..
the 4.6L 32v 99 motors are idential to the 01 motors.. they fixed the intake problem, and PCM issue, and added high flow mufflers..
the stock bottom end holds 400-500 without a problem...
all comes down to mods, tuning and driving style... mine had roughly 340 at the crank, after simple tuning with the mafterburner, mail order diablo sport chip, flowmasters, post fix intake, and the ford PCM flash.. you have a better chance of breaking half shafts on that boosted motor with a good tune, than you do of blowing it up...
however the 99's were the bastard children of SVT/Team Mustang... one of the lesser quality cobra's to wear the cobra moniker next to the old Cobra II's...
thrash on any car with a bad tune and poor mod choices and you'll bust it... i'm ford/mustang bias'd but, i'm not going to cover for ford on the issues with the 99 cobra..
in the cobra's defense, you really don't know what other mods he had done, what kind of tune he had, how much he beat on the car, etc..
