Icon Helmets?

I am looking into ditching the old too big for me helmet I have now for a new one... So my question is what is the word about Icon helmets... Are they any good... A friend of mine said they are junk I just wanted to find out what kind of reputation they have... The Helmet I am looking into getting is the "Icon Mainframe Subhuman" in grey

I have heard the same.. Not the best helmet on the market but will get the job done. I have used AGV, HJC and Shoei. Out of the three the HJC was the better helmet for my head, the Shoei's are nice helmets but didn't fit for shit and are in the "stupid" price range.
The AGV I had was a nice helmet, compariable to the HJC but I grew out of it right around the time it hit the ground in an accident (just a scratch, but once it hits the ground it's supposedly no good anymore)!
I wanted a Arai, but after looking around and finding nothing but more "stupid" prices I bought another HJC. This was about a month ago or so.....

As long as it's comfortable and has a DOT/Snell Approval, as well as you like the graphics then it'll be find... pretty much just personal preference!

I have a Scorpion EXO700 and I like it, it fits very well and has vents in all the right places... And the shield comes off in .2 seconds for cleaning..

i would go to a motorcycle place and try them on ,i know with the SHoei helmets they fit tight but after a few days they mold around your head ... i tried mine on in a store then bought it off ebay for 150 bucks less then the store brand new in the box ...if you like shoei there is a guy on gsxr.com doing a group buy dirt cheap helmets ...

ya that does suck , but thats why you becarefull ....but i know from experience his mirrors on his bike are thicker then the 02 and up and everyone puts there helmets on the mirror so it might fall ...

My friend got a Suomy helmet paid like 350 for it and he loves it, I have just a cheap ebay full face for colder riding.

I have the icon domain decay helmet and I love it. I have a kbc and hjc helmet and this one is by far the best. It is very light and vents extremely well. It is also much more comfortable than my hjc since it has a lot more padding. I did the same thing as Mystic went to a motorcycle shop tried it on and then bought it on ebay for way cheaper.

My ARAI was like $450 and worth every penny much lighter than my HJC and less wind noise also it cut down on the air blast that hits you between the shoulders and causes the stiff neck/back that a long ride can give you.
