well i just found out on f150online.com, that it would work, but i would have to change the computer, sensors, intercooler, and posibly the trans, so that thought is out of the picure. now looking into vortech, paxton, and kenne bell.

ATI is better then all the others and their kits come with intercoolers usually making it possible to run more boost.

thats better then a lightning i think, but you cant mod it much past that if at all without building the motor. if you're going to do that then you might as well swap the whole L motor into it. if he had the money for that, then he could just swap the motor and tranny in with no problems, just dont hammer the piss out of it in 4wd.

And how do you propose he gets the 4wd to work with the lightning tranny?

I wonder what motor comes in the Navigators? I know a guy who has I believe a Kenne Bell kit for one that would probably go cheap. It was his sons and he's doing lots of time upstate right now so it's just sitting there......

The motor in the navi's are identicle to the 5.4 in the f series trucks.....So that could be a good deal for him

Navigators don't have the same engine. They have a 32V 5.4L V8. F series trucks have the 16V 5.4L V8. different heads and intake and exhaust manifolds.

if a lightning tranny will not bolt right up to the transfer case it will require an adapter that im sure he can find. its not like hes trying to put a fuckin cobra motor in there with an f-450 drivetrain, its all the same basic ford shit with different bolt patterns if that
