srtgurl vs. viper!

Hi everyone! Since H3llphyre invited me to come on over, I decided to make my first post my most cherished run at New England Dragway! Maybe some of you have seen this, if so, I apologize!

Just to let you know, the guy driving the Viper was kind enough to offer to race me when I was trying to get 11 second Vipers to race me! His Viper is a 1992 and has only (ONLY?!) 400hp compared to the new Vipers that have 450hp. Anyway, this was his best run too because prior to this he had all 13 second runs! We were both ecstatic and gave each other hugs for a good race.

Not at all, the guy was so cool! He was very impressed with the car and was almost proud to be beaten by an SRT-4. Remember, the SRT-4 was fashioned after the Viper so the Viper guys tend to think of the SRT-4 as their "lil brother or sister" car!

I was there for import wars and I saw the MOPAR Neon, wasnt too fast :) , j/k.

I saw you a few times too, running some other SRT4's, especially this silver one. YOu beat him/her many times though. I think your fastest was 13.x, when I was there, I dont know. CRAZZY wheel spin that day, hehe.

Good job on the run though, thats pretty fast ;)

yeah, two 13.0 in a row was the best I could muster up that day. They don't like to treat the track for import wars! When I raced the silver one, he got mad wheel spin and only netted a 13.8 run. His best is a 13.0 too so that just shows you how bad the track conditions were that day! did you race?

Nope, I didnt want to that day. Im saving up for a big trip in December so im trying not to waste money. I was worried my clutch would go hehehe. I also need tires so thats more cash to waste.

Oh well, next year I'l be in the 13's, if not the 11's, im going to skip the 12's hehe

Wow ... I'm still waiting to get a chance at a viper ... nice run. You are trapping pretty high ... alot of cars with lower ET's would get eaten by you on the highway ...

The seats are Viper inspired and Dodge makes a point to always say that the SRT-4 is the second fastest car in the Dodge lineup after the Viper. The Viper guys know it and were really intrigued to see one in person at the track that day.

And yes, the Flame Red is the same!

you are entitled to your opinion, but what I am saying is not my opinion, it's how the SRT-4 is compared sometimes. I just read an article, a review, that compared the two cars. If I can find it, I'll post it.

damn man u guys have no remorse. lol. yes i hate dodge. and yes i hate neons. the srt4 is ok and i admit they are quite fast and mad props to beating that viper. but i still dont like them. just gimme till the summer and me and srt4 gurl will line em up at ned..........well see who comes out victorious. also that vr4 is sweet.........it is a vr4 correct? when u pickin that beast up?:hitit1:

lol, yea it would be pretty embarrassing getting owned by a girl. but then again i know some girls that can drive batter than some guys. o and srt4 girl back in the like late spring or maybe it was fall when ned was still open. my buddy in his silver gst spyder came up to a stoplight next to you and gave you BOV i guess u just laughed your ass off at him, lol. dunno if u remember that but he told me that story the other day. BTW i think it was somewhere in NH right near the dragway.

Yes! That was me! That was fun that day. The guy I was talking about raced me in a Lightning and apparently he wasn't too happy about getting beat by a "Neon" SRT-4! :owned:
That gathering was fun, hope they do it again next summer!

Yeah, we remember that silver Spyder! Sweet! He gave me a lil blowoff. My boyfriend is a DSM/Nissan guy, his friend has a '92 6 bolt Talon getting rebuilt. Can't wait to get him up at NED in the Talon. I would not have laughed at him tho, I would probably have appreciated his interest in trying to get my attention!

although I did completely destroy my friends 85 Z28. it had a 305 TBI, I know, I know, not that fast. but when you beat him with a 98 Neon R/T after he talks so much shit at home and in the pits about how "at least I don't own a neon", and "those racing stripes aren't gonna help" you take that home like a trophy!

oh and it was my 16.8 to his 17.5 AND I missed 3rd gear but we ran again and I got a 16.3 to his 17.1 (at least I'm pretty sure, It was a long time ago.) all I know is I had him by like 6 to 7 car lengths both times.

That kid actually has a DSM and he runs low-mid 12's most of the time ... not bad for a car with a total investment of $7k. I think he's now got a bigger turbo but he's trying to tune it ... he's looking for low 11's this year. He's an alright guy ... not the most personable person I've met though.

Actually i put "surgeon general warning: its okay to smoke v8's" on the back windshelid of my civic really small for about 2 months over 2 summers ago. Not because i was the mad tyte v8 killer, but it sure did stir up alot of controversy and got me alot of races. Back then there were no 03 cobras and srt4's. I had one of the faster 4 cylinders around and the biggest threat to my car was a 2000 Mustang GT, LOL roar. I dont think i lost to a v8 that summer.

FYI: 2 summers ago in that trim my civic was about as fast as a stock LS1 powered car/well driven lightning, faster then an 00 cobra/gt and all the other domestic v8's around then. I ran even with Romeo with whatever he had in his SBC s10 at that time, i heard he ran 13.7's which is right on point.

I did lose a modded lightning however and i told him id modify the sticker to say "its okay to lose to modded lightnings"

well it wasnt even remotely quick when i raced it......and i he kept calling out again and again.....i raced him a bunch of times.

i told him he had a lot of balls with that plate running that slow.

seeing as how i pretty much had the fastest thing around back then (sans matt on the bottle and tommy's charger) your POS was slow.

it had STOCK EXHAUST, i looked at it, it was silent

it had a bunch of apexi gizmo's inside though, and when it launched, the turbo's were slightly louder then stock (have it on video)
