New Additions to the family...

So, I added to my family of heaps. Picked up 3 Cop Edition Caprices. All 1995's. One runs pretty damn good, aside from dumping tranny fluid when it is running. Probably just a tranny cooler line. I will have to see on Monday when I bring them to Matt's. Pretty excited. The current plan is to clean up the body a little bit on one of them, get it running mint, and probably sell the others. This is before winter. Then, in the spring, I will probably start the modifications. Well, I probably won't wait till spring. I will probably start with the interior sooner then later. Ah yes. V8 RWD power baby. And the mint thing... The one that runs (the others may, I just havent tried yet) has a new set of winter tires.

I think they are pretty much over now... I couldn't get a definate answer to that. Yeah, all LT1's. Of course, the titles say V6, but whatever.

I'll let you know tomorrow. I didnt really have time (or tools) to scope out the other two in detail. Going to pick up at least 2 of them (one of mine and one of matt's) tomorrow morning.

From some research (thanks to spenc), it looks as though the cop cruiser auctions are over. There MAY be one more, but we can find no reference to it. The only other auction is for their old dump trucks and heavy machinery (loaders, back hoes, etc).

So, I guess you will have to wait until next year, for the 96's to come out of commission. Of course, the 96's suck, cuz they are OBD2 and the tuning software for them is about 3x the price as for OBD1. Yes, I plan on getting the software... haha. It allows you to pretty much change anything. Fuel tables, timing, shift points, rev limit, etc. Hmmm... Thinking a set of heads, ported intake, exhaust headers, and a full exhaust may be in the ropes. low 13's, here I come. Shit, people have run 12's with those things. 12 second 4 door daily driver. I am liking the idea.

Oh, you know damn well that it won't be long before the caprice is running low 13's. You have no will-power when it comes to making your cars run faster then they should.

Still working on getting them back to homebase. Yeah, the next auction is heavy equipment. Apparently there is one more auction that is listed, but no details about which type of cars. I am assuming cruisers, as there were quite a few there... Anyway, yeah, I think personally I am done buying cars, but I may go back for friends. I seem to be pretty good at buying them ;-)

Hmm..wonder what the heavy equipment goes for? I could use my own personal front end loader do build some jumps on out dirtbike track..Where is this place at? Do they require any dealer licences?

Devins AirForce base. Right next to Ayer. No, no dealer's license. You have 5 days to pick up the vehicles. After that, they start charging you storage fees. The state police charge you, so it isnt something you can get out of. And, you can't count on being able to drive anything out of there. Just a heads up.
