Why get a vanity, you pay more for them and you attract attention, I have low numbered plates on my cars. I get a lot of comments on them too, I guess most people don't know how I get them. All the old timers ask who I know in order to get one. I didn't know they were that hard to come by. These aren't the 5 digit ones either, they are the 3 numbers then a letter. Does anyone know if these are hard to come by?

Personal loan for 20k from a bank would do the trick. Resale of a raped cobra prob isnt very good either. It might be easier to pull the cobra apart piece by piece, but he's losing a ton of money doing it that way.

i think one of the fastest street 03s in the country will have a good resale value. and he can sell the parts he pulls for a good amount to make up the difference in price between a new GT and cobra. also, no bank in their right mind would give someone our age a personal loan for $20g. max on most banks is $7k as be both know. getting more then $5g is a bitch without a couple good years of mortgage payments or something under your belt. if i walked into a bank tommorow and asked for a $20k personal loan for a car that i want to customize the shit out of, they'd laugh in my face and tell me to eat shit (even if every payment ive ever made was early). you should know this better then most people here :bash:

obviously you havent payed attention to the fact that my 02 silverado resales for more than brads 03 cobra, and you've never looked into chevy trucks, because a 95 in nice condition and 80k miles brings in about 16k, that 9 years and its only lost 1/3 off of sticker price.

The fastest STREET 03 cobras are into the 9's, and you know what, I could prob sell my car as it sits now for more than one of those cobras. And as for getting a personal loan, if you show the income for it, it shouldnt be a problem getting approved. If people are laughing at you at banks its not becuase they think what you're doing is stupid, its that they checked your credit rating and know you're not good for it. Why should I know about better than most people here? If youre planning to take a loan out to fill your whole house with jello pudding the bank could care less as long as you're paying interest.

Getting a $20K personal loan for MOST of us here is damn near impossible. The reason it is easy to get a $35K loan for a car, is because of collateral. The bank has something to take from you. Without some collateral, jake isnt going to get such a loan. Maybe once he owns a house (or at least SOME of a house) or something worth something, then maybe... but, as it stands, there is NO way a bank will do that.
