To anyone thats into snowmobiles, A buddy of mines got a 900 thundercat, whats a good asking price for the mach. Cosmetically it's in good shape with about 4500 miles. I personally hate it considering my ZLT 600 will take it till about 90, and will out handle it with ease.

yeah it's a 900, they did make them. Although all the ones i've seen in the Want Ad are 1000's. What makes you think Artic cat's are junk?

Arctic cats are excellent machines. I have a 1997 ZR-580 EFI, and 1997 EXT 580 EFI. Both have 2500 miles on them. The ZR starts 2nd pull to this day(one to charge the system, 1 to start.) I'll stand by cat for a very long time.

Wow that sucks, he got fucked. He paid 2500 last year. Knowing how the machine handles, and top end being nothing special, i'd have a hard time paying the low-end $1400.

yeah im a fucking parrot when my dads freind has 4 blown motors in 1 season, shut the fuck up, oh and my freinds 95 550 ext decided that it wanted the clutch to just fall off and then procede to have the motor seize when that got fixed, on the other hand, joe seems to have good luck with them

Maybe dad's friend should eighter stop bringing it to the same place to have it fixed, or stop trying to fix it himself because someone dosen't know what the fuck there doing, which isnt the machines fault. Or he should learn how to ride the fucking thing, which again isnt the machine's fault.

Since it's your friends 95' and going by he's the same age as you, he didnt buy it brand new. Some joke like your fathers friend could of worked on it, and the clutch fell off. Maybe he replaced the clutch before your friend bought it and did a shitty install. Both your examples are shit Polly, because it looks like human error played a role.

arctic cats are like mopars, fast but they blow up too often
polaris is like ford- slow, but that way they dont break
ski-doo is like chevy- fast, well built, easy to work on
yamaha is like pontiac- can be fast, but who really cares
