i know this is kind specific, but does anyone have aftermarket cams in a non-PI (96-98) mustang gt? if so, how much were they, what kind are they, and what are the pros and cons

nickname for heads on the 96-98 gts.
99+ gt's have PI heads. PI = Power Improved. hence the 40 hp gain. thusfore, 96-98 heads were dubbed NON-PI.

Why not just refer to them as 99+ heads? LOL. Damn ford people. I'm just yankin your chain. Yup, definately learned something new today.
As far as I know, no one here is running aftermarket cams in their stangs... Sorry. maybe someone will chime in that knows about mustangs though. I won't even pretend to know anything at all....

You'd potentially have better results switching to the PI heads than to the puttin cams in the non PI, i would skip both and buy a power adder
Good Luck

most people make billet cams for the 96-98 SOHC, Sean Hyland, Mod Max, etc...
heres a link to Sean Hylands offerings, he's a little pricey

Modmax

Steeda's page to the PI 03 heads and ford racing intake.

i wouldn't spend the time on the non-PI heads, i'd do a swap to the PI heads, with cams, ford racing intake manifold, then s/c..
i also prefer billet cams over regrinds..

i love when they do that shit, they put up "call for info". what the fuck is the site for if i have to call you for all the info? i fuckin hate companies that do that shit, they say the reason is because they dont want ot have to keep updating prices on the site. all you havr to do is put a disclaimer on the site like everyone else saying "prices are subject to change without notice".

There are tons of good used PI heads around
go to the coral forums, and go to the classifieds
Also Crower makes about the best cams for the modular Ford heads
