this is a steering brace (or "wonderbar") i made, stiffens up the front frame horns in hard cornering......they cost like 150 bucks, so i made my own lol.
it bolts on with the sway bar mounts in the front of the car

and here is the driveshaft loop i made that bolts to the tailshaft housing on my tremec TKO 5 speed.....the mount is actually for the torque arm mount, but since i dont have a torque arm anymore, its very convenient

thats not bad......it only took me like 20 minutes to make it though, and the steel is free, so its really, really cheap lol

No torque arm? What are you running for a rear suspension in your car?

south side machine lift bars, basically a cross between a ladder bar and a 4 link suspension, very tough, kinda rough ride on the street, but the traction is phenomenal even with street tires.....its hard to burn the tires through 2nd gear, the thing just hooks up.
I have some pics of it, but they kinda suck, it makes alot more sense when you see it in person.
thats how i can get 1.66 short times with stock shocks, springs, and struts.....and the struts and springs have 130K miles on them lol

Huh, I always thought the South Side bars kept the torque arm :eh: What do they use for an upper link?

the lower control arms become the upper link, because the lift bars drop about 6 inches from the axle, and attach to their own cross members.
the lift bars are also welded to the axle tubes, so they positively locate the pinion angle, which is why its more of a cross between a ladder bar and a four link
check out this link, there are some pictures and stuff
