ok, got a friend in florida....he's putting a 79 460 into a 91 F250.....it dont fit, the motormounts are off by 1" and its resting on the oil pan.....does it need a new pan or different mounts or sutin?

yep prob new mounts....dont hold me to my word but i bet if you do a search on yahoo you will find a company that has custom mounts...I used to know a site but its not commin to my head right now

i'm thinking oil pan, cuz i dunno what the motor came out of....i'm assuming another truck tho

Was the truck previously a small block? If it was you'll need different mounts. Or at least adaptors. L&L used to sell them, they had an add in the back of every 4wheeler magazine. Havn't looked for a while though. Ford's aren't like GM's, they had some insane need to make everything different so almost nothing is a direct swap :ak1: FORD :D

Most likely he is going to need new motor mounts, oil pan and headers. Thats usually what is required when doing these types of swaps. If you check out the big truck websites, like www.ford-truck.com and www.f150online.com and search the topic out you should be able to find out what you need.

well i know he needs a new pan....i found out the motor came out of a lincoln, so he needs a truck pan to start....

you need 91 Ford f250 460 specific motor mounts , just go to the dealer im sure they can still get them.

actually spence any 1980-96 f 250 mounts for the fatblock ford should work as the chassis, other than the gay ass twin I beam bs, remained mostly the same. Mounts should work out of any of those trucks tho
