OK, I havn't kept up on current technology here so here's my question. Who offers, or, what do you need to do to an existing carburetor, to enable it to work in a blow through application. I know about the enclosures but I'm looking at more of a hat style for the top. I know mill off the choke horn but what else is being done now? And, is it cost effective to use what you already have, or just buy new?

either paxton or vortec, maybe both have air hat kits out. just buy a new carb thats made for it, i wouldnt bother dicking with it. toss the old one on ebay.
Paxton, Vortech, and ATI Procharger all offer kits for carbs.

but anyways, you need a big carb (200cfm over minimum for your motor), Holley HP series is prefered (no choke horn) you need solid nitrophyle center hung floats. You need a pressure equilizer (not necessary but recommended) between the float bowls, i believe the throttle shafts can be left alone, and you need a 1:1 pressure sensitive fuel regulator capable of regulating @7psi + whatever boost you'll run, ie 10lbs = 17psi.

boost referenced bypass style, Aeromotive makes one same one i use, and at 130 bucks and 4 outlets its a steal, you'll jsut have to buy fittings.

Only if you don't know how to tune it:thumbsup:
I ended up going with a BG anyways but at the time cost was a factor. even though speed costs money I did pretty good with that holley. Each person and application is always different, as long as you put it on a big block that is..
