I am torn between these two bikes. Anyone have any feedback on them ?

My buddy has the cbr and he loves it but if i was you i would go with the new R1. I rode one yesterday and the thing is unreal. If your going to buy a ninja get the 636!

Totally depends on what you want. The CBR 1000 is a nasty looking bike and is well... a honda. Can't beat it! Huge fan ever since my buddy stunted a 929 for 2 years and never checked/added any oil or antifreeze. We decided to check it one day and the thing had MAYBE a quart of oil in it and the radiator drained about 3 ounces of fluid, HAHAHA. F3/F4/F4i... all nice 600cc Hondas
Kawasaki totally reinvented themselves the past 2 years. The new ninjas are well made and can take a beating. My first bike was a 88 Ninja 600. When I bought it (I turned 16, the bike was 10 years old). It had 18K on it, but ran like clockwork and ran well. Gotta say the thing impressed me for what it was. In the mid 90's the Kawasaki Ninja name went downhill. It had a bad rep, no one really liked em. The new ones are nasty and I have a few buddies that swear by em.
The R1 is a nice bike but I'm not a Yamaha fan. Makes damn good power, looks good and all but I had a bad experience and wouldn't buy another one.

depends on how much experience you have, the zx10 by all means is the fastest bike right now, but the cbr has better road manners, what are you looking for in the bike?

Well I have a Ninja, and LOVE IT ! But want to buy a new one. Latley people have been telling me the Honda is superrior in every way. So I am trying to do some homework. I have had Kawasaki dirt bikes most my life, well I recently picked up a Cr125 Honda that is just plain sick and evil, so Honda has my attention.

honestly i can't see this being even a close call but i am also a honda guy i would take the 1000rr over a ninja any day

I'm leaning that way, but the Ninja was nothing but perfect for me so I wouldn't rule out the new Ninja.
the zx10 gauges suck. the honda 1000rr is the slowest. the yamaha is the smokin but needs a tad more mid range. the 051k is the best track bike . im waitin for the 06 r1 :ninja: although my 99 still rips

I was under the understanding that the Honda CBR was the fastest. Maybe I will just stay with the Ninja !

go honda, 600rr or 1000rr..you cant really go wrong with any of the new bikes, im partial to honda's tho

ive owned Honda quads and dirtbikes both two stroke and four strokes and street bikes, beat the fuck out of them and never broken down or had any problems. Friend of mine had an '86 fourtrax 350 that was litterally run all day everyday for its entire life and always started right up and ran. I have friends with Yama's and Kawi's and id never buy anything but a honda

Thats what I am hearing also. I just picked up a CR125 and like it so far. Now I want to see what all the hubbub is about !

unless you're a pro rider, you'll never notice the difference in the 1/4 and all the liter bikes are too fast to even use them full throttle at high speeds around here anyways. the build quality of honda is superior to anything IMO, but the ninja is SLIGHTLY faster.

thats cuz a zx11 has upwards of 150hp, a cbr900 has around 100 i beleive

it all depends on the year, my 03 cbr 600 puts out 110 or so to the wheel.

actually the zx11 has 135rwhp and weighs 601 ibs and the cbr had 119rwhp stock
